Dobbin St. - An Ultra Cool Modern Art-Inspired Wedding Venue in Williamsburg

For a wedding planner, finding a cool new venue is better than opening presents on Christmas morning. And finding one with a bright blue storefront practically located in your backyard? Well, that's priceless. Ladies, gentlemen, and engaged couples of the world, allow me to introduce you to Dobbin St.

Nestled on a quiet street on the border of Greenpoint and Williamsburg, Dobbin St is destined to become one of the hottest new wedding and event venues in Brooklyn. A former factory, Dobbin St maintains that industrial feel while still presenting as a modern, sophisticated and minimalist venue. Upon entering through the all glass entrance, guests are greeted with a graphic black and white tiled entry that leads into the 3,250 square foot main space, the back of which is decorated by a custom art installation by Christine Gedeon.

Just beyond the main space is a 900 square foot courtyard, landscaped by Sprout Home, perfect for a super intimate ceremony, cocktail hour and post-dinner mingling.

Upstairs from the main space is the mezzanine containing a private suite (ideal for getting ready on the wedding day) and separate client lounge that overlooks the main room.

And if all of that wasn't enough to convince you to throw a party or have your wedding at Dobbin St, there is also a 2,500 square foot roof deck with sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline and landscaping by Fox Fodder Farm. This outdoor component makes Dobbin St an incredibly versatile space and a wedding planner's dream, because you've got a built-in rain plan of being able to move everything indoors.

As a whole, Dobbin St is pretty spectacular as a wedding and event venue, but it's the details in the space that really put it over the edge. There's the giant light pink wall in the main space that provides a nice contrast to the other white and concrete surfaces, the custom wallpaper by Sarah Merenda (of Merenda Wallpaper) in the client lounge and the graphic tile sprinkled throughout. Without a doubt, Dobbin St is the new cool kid on the block. So to all the engaged couples out there and companies looking for a hot spot to host their next event, keep Dobbin St (and me for your planning needs!) in mind!
