Where It All Began
It’s no secret that my wedding was a huge catalyst in my decision to start Color Pop Events. For years I had been dreaming of starting my own business and constantly brainstorming ideas of what that business would look like. I kept coming back to event planning because it was the perfect combination of a creative outlet and a way to keep my OCD muscles in shape. But it wasn’t until my own wedding in August 2012 that I really knew that being an event and wedding planner was THE perfect career for me.
Not only did I find the planning process easy and enjoyable, but I LOVED pulling all of the design elements together to create a cohesive vision for the day. And I still have fun looking at all of the pictures and thinking back on all of the details. I recently had the chance to dive deeper into the ins and outs of my wedding (from my dress to vendor selection to the subtle polka dots vs. stripes theme) with Kira from Bridal Rebellion. That’s right guys, I did my first podcast!
The minute I heard about Bridal Rebellion and its mission to embrace all things non-traditional for your wedding day, I knew I had found a kindred spirit in Kira. So hop on over to Bridal Rebellion and listen to me dish on all of the details of my big day and add my two cents to the discussion of why everyone needs a wedding planner.
